Substance Abuse Assessment: As a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), I conduct comprehensive drug and alcohol assessments for various organizations. I am an approved provider for the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN), Oregon Medical Board (OMB), Oregon State Board of Dentistry (OSBD), Health Professionals Services Program (HPSP), and many Unions and Drug-Free Workplaces (DFWP). I also work with individuals referred by courts and employers. As a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified SAP, I guide individuals through the return-to-duty process following a DOT drug violation, ensuring they meet all necessary requirements to safely and effectively re-enter their professional roles.
I specialize in short term Solution-Focused Therapy, a pragmatic and goal-oriented approach designed to help clients achieve their desired outcomes efficiently. Rather than delving into past issues or focusing on problems, we concentrate on identifying and leveraging your existing strengths and resources.
This approach involves:
Setting Clear Goals: Collaboratively defining what you want to achieve in therapy.
Building on Successes: Identifying past successes and how those strategies can be applied to current challenges.
Developing Practical Solutions: Working together to create actionable steps and solutions tailored to your specific needs.
Solution-Focused Therapy is ideal for those seeking to address immediate concerns and improve their current situation. Our goal is to empower you to move forward with confidence and clarity.
In my counseling sessions, I adopt a client-centered and holistic approach, emphasizing solutions and focusing on the whole person. I firmly believe that each person's experiences, strengths, and aspirations are unique, and I tailor my therapeutic interventions to meet your specific needs. I am dedicated to cultivating a collaborative therapeutic relationship, empowering you to gain insights, develop coping strategies, and enact meaningful changes in your life. Together, we will strive to enhance your self-awareness, build resilience, and foster personal growth.
By combining these two areas of expertise, I am dedicated to fostering recovery, personal growth, and professional compliance. Whether you're seeking therapeutic support or navigating your return to work requirements, I am here to help guide you through each step of the process with compassion and professionalism.
Education: I hold a Master's Degree from the Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St Mary’s University in Minneapolis.
