Availability: I am not accepting individual mental health clients. I do not offer couples counseling. I am available for OSBN, OMB, HPSP, and Drug and Alcohol assessments, with same- or next-day appointments available if needed.
My career began in 2008 when I was accepted into the Hazelden Betty Ford Master’s Program in Minnesota. In 2009, I was hired by Hazelden, where I gained experience across all levels of care, including detox, 90-day extended residential care, intensive outpatient, outpatient continuing care, and residential adolescent treatment. I also presented to family groups, providing education and answering questions about their loved one's progress and treatment recommendations.
I furthered my expertise by participating in the Mayo Clinic's "Window of the World" seminar, focusing on the neurobiology of addiction, psychiatric medications, and the treatment of severe and persistent mental illnesses (SPMI) like bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and schizophrenia.
In 2017, I relocated to Oregon, where I worked for Canopy EAP while establishing my private practice. In 2020, I transitioned to full-time private practice, focusing on drug and alcohol evaluations, counseling, and return-to-work services.
Substance Abuse Assessment: As a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), I conduct comprehensive drug and alcohol assessments for various organizations. I am an approved provider for OSBN, OMB, OSBD, HPSP, and many Unions and Drug-Free Workplaces. I also work with court- and employer-referred individuals. As a DOT-certified SAP, I guide clients through the return-to-duty process following a DOT drug violation.
Education: I hold a Master’s Degree from the Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University in Minneapolis.
