My career in the addiction field began in 2008 when I was accepted into the Hazelden Betty Ford Master’s Program in Minnesota. In 2009, I was honored to join Hazelden, where I gained hands-on experience across various levels of care, including detox, 90-day extended residential treatment, intensive outpatient care, and adolescent residential treatment. I also had the privilege of presenting to family groups, providing education, and answering questions about their loved one's progress and treatment recommendations.
To expand my knowledge and skills, I participated in the Mayo Clinic’s “Window of the World” conferences, where I deepened my understanding of the neurobiology of addiction, psychiatric medications, and the treatment of severe and persistent mental illnesses (SPMI), including bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and schizophrenia.
In 2017, I relocated to Oregon, where I began working for Canopy EAP while establishing my private practice. In 2020, I transitioned to full-time private practice, focusing on drug and alcohol evaluations, counseling, and return-to-work services.
